Those who follow the Facebook Back To Frank Black page, will have seen this story – and it is one that will most likely generate some mixed feelings from fans and campaigners.

Entertainment journalist and writer Patrick Munn has written an article on the possibilities at this current time for a Millennium movie based on his talks with people in the industry, specifically in this article, with people inside 20th Century Fox and FX channel.

This is a fascinating little insight into the situation as it stands. I will say no more, but encourage all to read the article. Feel free to comment on this article.

Now regardless of what you personally take away from this as to the future of Millennium, this has been quite a pivitol movement for Back to Frank Black. Patrick is a very thorough journalist – not only has he been reaching out and getting feelings on the Millennium prospects within the industry, he’s looked very, very closely at Back To Frank Black with a very thorough hand from his staff. Myself and Troy have spoken at lengths to Patrick this past weekend – and he’s stripped away the campaign to its bare bones in researching just what and who we are.

This research will be the basis for an article on what we do – a story he found interesting because this campaign is in his mind – and mine – unique, given its solid and uncompromised support from the show’s three key figures. To have Chris Carters support, to have Frank Spotnitz’s approval and advice and to have Lance Henriksen’s hands on guidance is very unusual for a campaign and his mind worth investigating.

So while we hope this will make for an interesting article, it has been very much food for thought for the campaign – when you’re researched so deeply by a third party it helps uncover weak spots, possible expansion and refinements you’d otherwise never find. Three years on a campaign it can be hard to see the wood from the trees, such honest analysis is a great help.

We will promote the campaign article when its complete – and we’re planning an honest, open table discussion podcast with the campaign staff based on this (with some other special events regarding the information presented here) – so you can all hear what we feel about the details presented and how we go about steering the campaign. We figured in the face of objective detail, we’d respond with similar candid objectivity.

So this is quite a big thing – Patrick has given us insight into the situation within the industry and we thank him for his time in doing so. We hope his outside input and experience will help refine and hone this project’s ability to project the desire of Frank Black’s fan to bring him back.
