As the aim of this campaign is to unite fans of the series in a concerted effort to raise awareness of our desire to see Frank return it will have the best chance of success if we are able to gain the support of members of the Millennium Cast and Crew. In addition to this the campaign is being run from the very heart of Millennium Fandom and has the support of individuals who have been respected members of the Millennium Fan Community for many years, for these reasons it is essential that this campaign remains at all times respectable and respectful of the good names of the individuals involved. When you are looking to make a little positive publicity it is vital that your actions are all accountable and professional. When you are looking to draw some attention from the creators, Fox and press outlets, your mandate needs to be consistent, professional and most importantly, non-abrasive.

For these reasons it has been necessary for us to create a few guidelines that we feel will steer the campaign through positive waters and in light of this give it the greatest possible chance of success. We want Frank Black to be known by the world at large but we want him known for all the right reasons. Thank you for reading.

• We ask that people refrain from using licensed material such as Millennium Episodes or entries from Mark Snow's score in any aspect of the campaign. Anything placed in the public domain should be original and pose no conflict with copywrite laws.
• If people have ideas or suggestions for activities they believe will be constructive in addition to our own suggestions we would ask that they contact us for advice. We will happily consult with anyone who has an idea that will further the campaign's progress but for the reasons we note above would like to have the opportunity to be involved in the planning process.
• Ensure that all contact made in respect of the campaign is conducted with respect, congeniality and fairness. You are representing the Millennium Fan Community and let our actions cause people to conclude it is one of the fairest and finest Fan Communities around.

There are many ways to contribute to the campaign to bring back Frank Black - as long as your contributions follow our 'Code of Conduct' feel free to personalise your approach in the name of the campaign! Here are a number of hints and tips to get you started!

• Make sure all your campaign attempts contain the address of the campaign website - BackToFrankBlack.com! All campaigns require unity!

• The simplest - and most important - way you can contribute is to write a letter. There is a letter template available for you to use as well as addresses of those we feel will be implicit to the success of the campaign. The form this letter takes can be of your own devising and as brief or as impassioned and detailed as you like! Written letters elicit a more favourable response due to the added time they take but typed letters are better than no letters at all. There is no reason why you can't take this idea further: include artwork if you wish, photographs relevant to the subject matter, examples of Millennium themed projects you have been involved in, details of your involvement within the fan community, in fact anything that will display how passionate you are for the franchise and for its future continuation.

• IDEA! Many of us have profiles on the numerous social networking sites so use them to the campaign's advantage. Add links to the campaign website on your profiles, create social groups to support its success, mail en masse your friends and bring their attention to our plight. Maybe you have a site of your own or are an ardent Blogger: again links to this site would be much appreciated as would a resume of its intentions. If anyone requires a 'press release' to this end, contact us an we will issue you with one. Check out our affliliate page for some starting points!
• IDEA! Youtube is a great way of reaching a large proportion of potential campaigners. Why not make a video explaining why you love Millennium or talk a little about your respect and admiration for Lance Henriksen. As with all the suggestions made ensure you provide a link to this website and don't forget to share the links to your own work in the letters you create!
• IDEA! Buy the DVD sets of Millennium! There is no better evidence of commerical viability than the ability to sell! You want Frank Black back? Make sure you are showing that wish with your wallet. Old adage is true: Money talks!
• IDEA! We have A4 and A5 BacktoFrankBlack flyers you can hand out! Download them both as a zip file!
• At every possibility, share the link to this website - be it forums, blogs, yahoogroups or anywhere that receives traffic. We're not suggesting you spam (superfluously advertise), but wherever common sense allows, mention our name and help raise awareness of the campaign! All readers of your words should be considered as potential campaigners. Inform, recruit and then direct fellow fans to the hub of the campaign.
• Promote Frank Black by using our range of desktop wallpapers and internet avatars!
• Be creative in spreading the word! 'Quirky' and 'glittery' ways of raising awareness will have a greater psychological degree of success. Call upon whatever skills you have: consider creating promotional animations in Flash, record a fan song, create a photoshop montage, create art in more traditional media: whatever you do remember the important things - include the campaign address and remember to share it with those we aim to contact.
• IDEA! Maybe you host or contribute to a genre or scifi podcast? The campaign would make an interesting inclusion to your broadcast and more importantly we will supply you with all the information you require to make the coverage interesting. • IDEA! Banners and buttons are available that promote the campaign website and are a simple, labour free way of contributing. Add them to your email signatures or forum signatures and 'plug' the project effortlessly with every post you make. Download our banner starter pack!
• IDEA! Are you a contributor to Wikipedia? If so you could update Lance's entry or the Millennium entry with information regarding the campaign. We would be happy to keep you informed of developments and ensure you lead the reporting of this project rather than follow.
